- Letter or A4? Which paper you have.
Letterhead is the plainest thing a business prints and the one that says the most: a letter on plain paper is a note, a letter on your paper is from the business. Most small businesses never get around to it, because the print shop wants an order of five hundred and a print-ready file the business cannot make. This is the file. Your name set in a real serif at the top, your tagline under it, the address and contact at the right, a rule, a clean page, and a footer line, printed from the home printer one sheet at a time, or kept as a PDF to write letters on.
The header sits at the left or centered, as a setting: left is the letterhead of a studio, centered is the letterhead of a practice. The logo goes above the name if you have one, and if you do not, a drawn mark carries your initial so the corner is never empty. A tagline is optional; leave it blank and the name stands alone.
The page itself is blank on purpose, because a letter needs room. A switch adds faint lines for the letter written by hand, at a pen's pitch, and they print light so the words sit on them rather than under them. The footer carries the business name and the website, small, under a thin rule in the accent color.
Six color themes, one of them light ink for the sheet you print by the ream. Every line has a limit the customizer holds you to, so the name never runs into the address and the address never runs into the margin.
Print it at 100%, not fit to page. Letterhead deserves better than copier paper: a 28 lb or 32 lb bond, about 105 to 120 gsm, feels like stationery and still goes through a home printer. The free version is this design with the sample business and a small credit line at the foot. The paid version carries your business, your logo, your lines and your footer, drops the credit line, and comes back in Letter and A4 from one purchase, with a link that works for a year.
Can I type a letter on it?
Yes. Print a stack and run a sheet back through the printer with your letter on it. You can also add text on top of the PDF in an app like Preview or Acrobat; the file itself is flat, not a fillable form. The page is blank on purpose.
Left or centered?
A setting. Left puts the business block at the top left and the address at the right; centered stacks everything in the middle.
What if I have no logo?
A drawn mark with your initial takes its place, so the corner is never empty. Add a PNG or JPEG later and it swaps in.
What should I print it on?
A 28 lb or 32 lb bond, about 105 to 120 gsm, feels like stationery and goes through a home printer. Print at 100%, not fit to page.
Can I use it for my business?
Yes. The paid version includes small-business use. What you cannot do is resell the template itself. The license page says exactly that.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once for the file. There is nothing to cancel.
