Lined, Graph and Dot Grid Paper

Paper is the template nobody thinks of as a template until the printer is the only shop open: a page of lines for a letter, a page of squares for a sketch, a page of dots for a bullet journal. Most of the free ones are a picture of lines, which prints gray and fuzzy at the edges. This one is drawn: every rule, square and dot is a real line in the file, so it prints as sharp as the printer can manage and as light as the theme sets it.

Three kinds and three spacings. Lined at 6.35, 7.1 or 8.7 millimeters, which are narrow, college and wide rule; graph and dot grid at 4, 5 or 6.35 millimeters, the last being a quarter inch for the people who think in inches. A margin line down the left for the lined sheet, on a switch. A name-and-date header along the top, on a switch, for the classroom and the homework.

One decision worth explaining: the lines are gray, not black. Lines you write on should sit under the ink, not compete with it, and the theme's muted color at a little under half strength is the weight a good notebook uses. The light-ink theme goes lighter still, for the ream.

Five color themes, one of them light ink, and Letter or A4 from the same file, with the pattern filling whichever sheet you choose. The free version is college-ruled with the margin line, on Letter, with a small credit line at the foot, which is the sheet most people want most of the time.

Print at 100%, not fit to page, or the spacing is not what it says; the inch mark on the free sheet lets you check. Plain copier paper is the point. The paid version unlocks the other two kinds, all three spacings, the header with your name, the five themes, and comes back in Letter and A4 from one purchase, with a link that works for a year.
